Brassocattleya ist eine Mehrgattungshybride aus Brassavola und Cattleya. Hier wurde Cattleya tenebrosa Woltons Granger HCC/AOS mit Br. nodosa Susan Fuches HCC/AOS gekreuzt.

Herkunft: Die reinen Gattungen kommen im tropischen Süd- und Mittelamerika vor.

Tipp: in den Sommermonaten leicht schattiert auch im Freien zu kultivieren, zwischen Tag und Nachttemperatur sollten 5 Grad Unterschied liegen.

Kultur:

  • Kork (aufgebunden)
  • temperiert (Nachts 15-18 °C; Tags 20-28 °C)
  • warm (Nachts 18-22 °C; Tags 25-29 °C)
  • sonnig

Pflege: Im Winter hell bis sonnig, im Sommer leicht schattiert. alle 7 - 10 Tage gut gießen oder tauchen, keine Staunässe!

Temperatur: 14-22°C; von Mai-Sept. mit jedem 2 Gießen düngen.

Diese Pflanze ist in ca 18 Monaten blühstark und wird nicht blühend im 8er Topf in Rindensubstrat geliefert.
